ORGANTON, N.C. — High-end case goods and upholstery manufacturer Chaddock has named longtime industry executive Dan Bradley as its CEO.And he took place of former CEO Tom Powell, who remains with the company, handling major accounts and key customers.
Recently Bradley was most senior vice president of operations of Ethan Allen, a role he held since early 2014. Before that he was president of the former designer brands group at Furniture Brands International that included Henredon, Maitland-Smith, Hickory Chair, Lane Venture and Pearson, a role he held since 2008.
Earlier, he was president of Baker Furniture and Ferguson Copeland. Ferguson Copeland acquired Guy Chaddock & Co. in 2004, and the combined companies were later renamed Chaddock.
Moreover,“Chaddock sought Bradley’s leadership for his experience and expertise in manufacturing and management and his well-deserved reputation as one of the most incredibly respected executives in the industry,” the company said in a statement. “Chaddock warmly welcomes Dan to our growing executive team.”
“Joining Chaddock feels like coming home — and not only because I was part of the organization almost a decade ago,” he said. “Chaddock is a furniture company with passion, integrity and talent. These are greatly familiar and fundamental qualities — all too absent in today’s business world — that truly drew me to this industry many years ago. It’s great to be back at Chaddock.”
The company added that former CEO Powell “has done an extraordinary job for Chaddock, expecially in guiding the company through a complete retooling of manufacturing, distribution and branding strategies over the past few years. His contributions have been of great benefit to the company.”
What’s more,Bradley said he is pleased to rejoin the company.
